Emergency Briefing Film

National Emergency Briefing

Friday 22 May 2026
19:00 to 21:00

The climate and nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life, from national security to the food supply. Despite this there has been no comprehensive national emergency briefing delivered to the public by the Government.

The People's Emergency Briefing film is part of an effort to ensure the UK is fully briefed on the climate and nature crisis. It presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown - along with credible, positive responses.

A follow-up discussion will allow everyone to air their thoughts and discuss how best to respond, nationally and locally, to the scale of the crisis.

The film is rated 12A. It has potentially a high emotional impact so we are restricting it to children aged 15+. If several young people attend, we will organise a separate discussion group for them.

This screening is organised by local environmental group Winchcombe Green Town. There is no charge but we will be accepting donations (suggested donation £2) to cover costs.

Non alcoholic refreshments will be available.
